There are fabulous signed books in every genre you can think of, all donated by their authors for this great cause.

All funds raised go to Children in Need, a great cause which supports children’s charities both in the UK and overseas.

If you were thinking of buying a book for yourself, or as a gift for a booklover you know this Christmas – or both! – the auction site is definitely worth a browse. You’ll be helping a very worthwhile cause and you’ll have your booked signed by the author.

This is the biggest signed book auction in the world and you’ll find donations from world famous, best-selling authors; familiar and much-loved names.

An Act of Love by Carol DrinkwaterAuthor and actress Carol Drinkwater, whose Year in Provence is showing on Channel 5 at the moment, has donated An Act of Love. her wartime romance, set in the French alps.

Her “olive grove” books have been hugely successful and the reviews for this one are stellar.

    Thanks so much for telling us about this, Liz, and in time for everyone to get involved. Somehow I missed the call to contribute books or I would have done so. But well done you for getting involved. I do hope that the auction raises oodles of money for such a worthy cause.

    Oh Liz, that’s a gorgeous list. So many I’m going to bid for.
    And whoever gets your torch pen bonus is onto a good thing. The one you gave me many moons ago, took me round half Europe, ending its active life in the Arctic Circle.

    I could only mention a few of the books on offer, Jenny. The site is packed with offers from fabulous authors. And I’m so glad your pen was so useful. I’m always using mine for finding things in the back of cupboards.
