It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of our very dear friend, Annie Ashurst,
who, as Sara Craven, was a worldwide bestseller and beloved by thousands of fans.
Annie will be much missed by her many friends in the RNA and elsewhere, for her wit,
her brilliant mind (she won Mastermind) and for the kindness and support she offered to so many. She was also, of course, a terrific writer from whom we all learned.
RIP dear Annie
She was a terrific woman in every respect. And I can vouch for her brilliant mind. I was once on her team for an RNA conference quiz. Of course we won. RIP, Annie.
Yes, Lesley. I was on her team once, too. And we won. Of course we did. Thanks to Annie.
RIP indeed. She was such a wonderful mixture of wit, bonhomie and, as you say, that brilliant mind. She will be missed.
Bonhomie is exactly the right word, Liz. Thank you.
So very said to hear this. Annie was a lovely person and an inspiration. When I first published she was so supportive and helpful — and continued to be so for the rest of her life. And then there were all her wonderful books! At least we shall have them to enjoy and read and reread.
Thank you, Anne. Her family will appreciate the lovely things that people are saying here. As do all her friends.
